SLOUGH  HOUSE

This speculative rowhome project, situated amongst a surplus of vacant lots in Kensignton, looks to define itself from the swath of monotonous development in the surrounding area. Using the constraints of the zoning code as an opportunity for creativity, the design investigates the relationship between interior use and its corresponding exterior expression. Sheathed in a single material with a few thoughtful variations, the home’s defining rusty patina glows in an ever-changing neighborhood.
