THE DUBBEL

Multi-Family Residential
New Construction
2,200 SF
Philadelphia: Brewerytown

This two-unit, all electric building represents a balance between development cost and high-performance certification. Throughout the design process, simple detailing focused on replicability. The building is an efficient box with no projections or added appendages to reduce complexity and construction cost. Assemblies utilize common membranes and insulation to achieve a super-insulated, air-tight building. The project’s energy profile is optimized through the Department of Energy’s Zero Energy Ready Homes program, the first multi-family building in Philadelphia to attain this certification.
