New Construction & Retrofits

This multi-phase scattered-site project focuses on selective demolition, new construction, additions and retrofitting  of a multiple single and multi-family homes to Passive House energy performance benchmarks with a goal of exceeding Source Net Zero Energy and utilizing low-embodied carbon building materials. As part of a larger greening project with The Nature Conservancy and funded by the Philadelphia Water Department, FRP will install green infrastructure to manage the stormwater at the project sites. Additional phases of the masterplan seek to expand affordable housing to the surrounding sites, benefiting from the thousands of green acres of West Fairmount Park, Belmont ‘s commercial corridor and Drexel University’s campus.
